The free-to-play game is still being supported on both major platforms, though Windows phone updates were discontinued in 2013. Released initially on the App Store in 2011 and on Google Play in 2012, The Sims FreePlay had garnered 200 million lifetime installs by 2015. There's a long way to go for The Sims Mobile to reach the success of The Sims FreePlay. It trailed behind the other Sims mobile game, The Sims FreePlay, which brought in twice as much revenue for the month and was EA's third highest-earning game for June. This is according to intelligence firm Sensor Tower's estimates, which also place The Sims Mobile as EA's eighth highest earning mobile game in June across both platforms. In the four months since the game's launch, The Sims Mobile has brought in over $15 million in revenue from player purchases across Google Play and the App Store. The Sims Mobile is raking in the Simoleons, and EA's older mobile games seem to be doing even better.
